Choosi Choodangaane Move Review -- only to Get a few moments

Release date : January 31, 2020

Rating : 2.75/5

Director: Sesha Sindhu Rao

Makers: Raj Kandukuri

story:

Siddhu(Shiva Kandukuri) is a mamma's boy that acts according to her will and joins a Btech course. In his college life, he also falls in love with Aishwarya(Malavika). Right as soon as the program is set to be finished, Aishwarya divides with Siddhu and leaves in distress. As time passes by, Siddhu meets Shruthi(Varsha Bollama) and falls in love with her. Right when the couple gets ready to indicate every other, a surprising twist in the love story arises. What can it be and how can the couple reunite in the end is the whole story.

Plus Points:

Shiva Kandukuri creates an impressive introduction. He's been well trained and that shows in his performance. The young actor is great with his emotional expressions. In his scenes with his mother and as a individual afflicted by separation, Shiva has done a superb job. If planned well, he'll have a decent future.

Varsha Bollama is a seasoned actor and brings all of it to this movie. She is superb in her central role and does well in her emotional scenes. She brings a great deal of depth into the event with her sensitive action. Still another heroine, Malavika is also striking in her role.

Anish Kuruvilla is superb as hero's father and so was Pavitra Lokesh. The guy who played with hero's friend also evoked some laughs here and there. The romantic scenes are decent and have been treated well.
The speed of the film is very slow and requires its time to come to the true point. Though the romantic scenes between the lead pair are good, some more play and conflict between them would have made things much better.

The hero's role should have been established a bit more logically. He's shown at a confused state most of the time and a stronger arc should have made things better for him. The director fails to elevate the emotional drama although there was a fantastic opportunity because of it.

Production values by Raj Kandukuri are fairly impressive as the film has a natural and realistic tone. Music by Gopi Sundar is strictly alright. The camera work is top notch as the film is displayed superbly. Even though the runtime is less, a couple more repeated scenes could have been toned down. Dialogues are great and so was the styling completed for the actors.

Coming to the manager Sesha, she has done a passable job with the movie. She has composed the romantic part well but the play which was needed is lacking in the movie. But still, she has extracted good performances from her cast.

Verdict :

Overall, Choosi Choodangane is a normal romantic love story which has some passable moments. Shiva Kandukuri and Varsha Bollama stand out but a slow narration and absence of successful drama takes down the film at regular intervals and leaves it just an okay watch this weekend. Watch it only if you have nothing else to do.
